West Oakland Health Center
This clinic was started over fifty years ago by four Black mothers in the midst of the Civil Rights and Black Power movements. It immediately rose up to become the neighborhood anchor for healthcare, health education, food and housing programs, and voter registration.
Each of the clinic’s health centers strive to be a hub for health, compassion, engagement, and inspiration. They serve patients both with and without insurance, no one is turned away due to lack of funds. They are actively accepting new patients, you can register over the phone or walk-in.
