Join Councilmember Fife in taking care of our small businesses!

Many District 3 small businesses have been sharing their desire to create spaces that are in service to our community, and while slow recovery from the pandemic has been impacting them as well as their patrons, they want to continue in this mission. So what does care look like to them? Both hosting and being frequented by their community!

In order to raise up and highlight the amazing work of these small businesses, Councilmember Fife has been hosting a monthly “Care-O-Van” where we show our care through patronage, while also having conversations about tangible solutions for creating the vibrancy, care and love we are working towards here in Oakland.

When we embody love and care as our guiding principles in our words, actions, and intentions, we show up in good faith ready to truly work together and find collective solutions that serve the common good. We denounce violence in all forms and the conditions that create violence. We commit to working against these conditions to create a safe space for all to operate in Love and Peace on our streets.
