This Thursday, I’ll be going live with Mike Cheng from the Asian Prisoner Support Committee and Tony Douangviseth from Youth Together about what actually is AAPI Hate and where does it come from?
I’ve been noticing both locally and nationally how racial discourse is being co-opted to not only undermine supporting marginalized communities, but to also create antagonism and division between them. Mike and Tony have been noticing this as well and are joining forces to raise awareness of these tactics so the banner of AAPI Hate is not used to justify actions that further oppress people of color.
